The 2022 CIOL Conference took place in etc.venues St Paul’s, London on 11 and 12 March 2022. After well over a year of online events and Zoom meetings, this was an excellent face-to-face event that truly brought language professionals back together.
I am honoured to have been part of the exciting line-up of speakers to deliver presentations on translation, interpreting, education, business and much more. Plus, for the first time, the CIOL Awards were also presented during the conference by HRH Prince Michael of Kent, the institute’s Royal Patron.
My presentation The world of transcreation: from luxury yachts to food for your cats offered participants the opportunity to discover what transcreation is, how it is different to translation, what are the project requirements, who can do the job, where to find the work, how to build the profile for it, pricing models, client expectations and all the fun that comes with it.
It took place on day 1, 11 March, in the main conference room and here is some of the feedback
Thank you all for attending, and for your valuable questions and contributions.
I look forward to next year’s conference.
